Hey y’all, my name is Kat Hodges and I am on a curious adventure. Throughout my childhood and early adult life, I have always gotten into weird and unusual adventures, asked interesting questions and probably have stressed my professors out no end. I am on an adventure to finding out questions about autoimmune disorders; ie, why the body hates itself enough to attack itself. In my introductory blog post (which you will hopefully read) I talk about wanting to go into immunotherapy and why my grandparents pushed me to study biochemistry. I want to fall down the rabbit hole like Alice and explore scientific questions that not many people hold answers to. I am excited to start this new journey and unlock answers to mysteries that keep me awake at night. My ultimate goal with this journey is to look through the looking glass and become not only a better scientist but also a better student and researcher.
